Work for CARM

CARM is looking for people who are interested in working as researchers, web developers, programmers, video editors, etc.  We are not interested in working with people who are not serious about the Lord and/or this ministry.  We are not interested in working with people who want to just "give CARM a try."  We want serious-minded people who want to expand the kingdom of Jesus.

People who work with CARM would be trained, supervised, and set free to work in the area of their expertise.

Requirements Vary

We prefer people who are educated theologically, though that is not necessary, and you can be either male or female, married or single, etc.  You must be well grounded in your faith and be willing to endure spiritual warfare.

You must affirm the CARM Statement of Faith -- no exceptions.

Researchers/writers for CARM would need to relocate, if possible, to the Boise, Idaho area.  We know that researchers can write from anywhere, but the dynamic of this ministry means that its best work can be done in a close group environment.

Unfortunately, CARM does not yet have the financial ability to pay full salaries.  So, anyone who would relocate here would have to be able to raise his or her own support.  However, there may be a way for someone to be partially supported from CARM and we would discuss that at a latter date should a person be seriously considered.

Web Development/Programmers do not need to relocate.  You do not need to be theologically trained but you do have to be able to demonstrate an expertise in your area.

Web Development/Programmers would work under Matt Slick and Ryan Turner

Update, July 3, 2008:  We are presently working with a person who is developing a shopping cart.

Update, Aug. 2, 2008:  We are presently working with a person regarding Web content management.

Site Code cleanup.  CARM has been developing for some time and the HTML/CSS code is not as "pristine" as it needs to be.  We are looking for someone who would be willing to take the code and clean it up then send it back to us so that we can publish it.

There are, in addition, some simple modifications we want to make to the site such as rounded corners and shadows in order to make the site more appealing.  If you think you can help us out, please contact us.

Email Responders do not need to be theologically trained but do have to know their theology well.  You would be interviewed and tested.  You would be able to answer e-mails related to your area of expertise and knowledge.

There maybe a future location on CARM where we include some e-mail responses.

Webmasters for other website projects.  CARM owns several domains and is in need of finding people interested in running them.  One domain is to be a repository for articles from various people.  It would involve soliciting the right to copy others' articles, soliciting people to write on various topics, and maintaining that website.  Therefore, such a person would need to be familiar with HTML and CSS.  The hours per week expected would be probably less than five. This person would be working under Matt Slick and Ryan Turner.

Another domain would be involved in collecting the "better" posts from the CARM discussion boards and saving them on another website.  The hours per week expected would be probably less than five.  This person would be working under Matt Slick and Diane Sellner.

Such website projects require a serious commitment, not a casual "let's see what happens" attitude.  It is possible that such a person would end up supervising others on their website responsibilities.

Expanding the CARM Radio show.  This would involve contacting other radio stations in order to get CARM broadcast from there and possibly find people for interviews.  Expanding the radio show would require additional money from CARM.  Therefore, we would need to obtain advertisers and/or raise support for the show.  This would not be easy to do, but since a person is worthy of his hire, we would expect that a percentage of anything raised for the development of the radio show would be given to the person who fills this position.  This person would be working under Matt Slick and Ryan Turner.
