Equipping Seminars
& speaking engagements

     Seminars are a great and exciting way to learn stuff you just don't get in church.  There can be lots of interaction, interesting stories, visual presentations, and plenty of material to take home.  If you're interested in having me speak at your church, email me at matt@carm.org.  
     Some of the topics that can be covered, blended, and incorporated into various time frames are:

1. Witnessing, How To?
   • Christians are often quite unaware of how frequently they are called to be a witness for Christ, give an answer for their faith, and present the gospel.  The workplace, friendships, school, and family are all places for carrying out the Great Commission -- at the right time and with wisdom.  But, so many lack the knowledge and the confidence.  
   • Want to gain the knowledge and confidence?  This seminar is very helpful.  Good information and practical examples.
2. Theology in Sneakers 
   • People need to know what the basics are in an easy to understand format.  This seminar is challenging, informative, and helpful.  
   • The participants will come away with plenty of practical, easy-to-use information on the Trinity, Jesus, the Atonement, the Resurrection, Law, Gospel, Grace, Sanctification, and more.  These basics are woven together in a challenging and interesting manner that shows not only the importance of the doctrines as truth, but also the relevance to everyday life and the Christian walk.
3. Mormonism
   • The listeners will learn how Mormonism started, what it teaches, why it is dangerous, and how they can more effectively witness to those lost in this cult.
   • Develop confidence to witness to the Mormons using God's word and come away with all the information you need.
4. Jehovah's Witnesses
   • Learn about their history, their doctrines, their false prophecies, and how they have changed the Bible. 
   • Learn how to respond to the J.W. at your door, how to answer their challenges, and how to challenge them from their own Bible.
5. The New Age Movement
   • This very interesting belief system is sweeping the land.  It has crept into schools, work, TV, movies, and music.  You will learn what the New Age Movement is, its teachings, practices, and dangers as well as where it has gained footholds (you'd be surprised), and how to answer it from the Bible. 
6. The Occult
   • What is it?  What are its dangers?  How prevalent is it?  Real life stories from my own experiences combined with teachings, practices, and beliefs of various occult groups help to make this session a fascinating one.
7. Answers to Tough Questions
   • This is always a fun session.  People ask all sorts of questions, a kind of free-for-all Q&A session.  This is often good as a conclusion to a seminar.
