Introduction to drawings from a German Jewish History Book printed in 1722

In 1968, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, my mother and father purchased and old book printed in 1722.  They loved antiques.  Eventually, they retired and moved into smaller quarters.  They gave me this book.
It is, apparently, a German-Jewish history book.  It contains many drawings.  I've always wanted to put some of them on the Net because I found them interesting.
To the right is the front inside cover of the book.  Its in old German.  I have no idea what it means.

If people like them, maybe I'll put more up.
Also, if you can translate what is to the right, let me know.  I'm curious.
