Welcome to the first newsletter of the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry. Thank you for signing up.

First of all, I hope that all of you had a good Christmas and a happy new year and I trust that the Lord Himself will bless you this year in a much greater and personal way.

Second, I apologize for the delay in getting this newsletter out. I had hoped to send it in December, but with the holidays and a convenient computer crash, I had to forego the planned release date.

This year has seen many changes with CARM. I have added sections on Islam, Shepard's Chapel, The International Church of Christ, 7th day Adventism, sermons, heresies, lost books, Creeds and Confessions, answers to the Bible difficulties, relativism, abortion, and numerous minor cults. I have done all of this in my spare time after I work my full-time job. My book, "Right Answers for Wrong Beliefs" is now on bookshelves in the United States, South Africa, England, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. I also have a standing offer to do a Christian call in radio show. All I need to do is go full-time with CARM and I can step in to radio. Isn't God great!

Present, I have a list of 35 more subjects to write on for CARM including Buddhism, Bahai, Freemasonry, Wicca, Confucianism, the Raelians, Ramtha, Rastafarianism, Religious Science, Urantia, Zoroastrianism, and many more groups. Requests for information from e-mails constantly come in (I have four people helping me answer them, there are so many!). The message boards are very active and the guestbook also has hundreds of entries. CARM is alive and kicking...and the cults don't like it.

CARM gets about 2000 visits a day on the home page. It is linked to hundreds of other websites and has been quoted in magazines and radio. I thank God that that He has provided the Internet as a means for disbursing good Christian information.

The Lord is using this ministry to prevent many people from being trapped in false religious systems. I get numerous e-mails from people thinking me for the information that helps them stay out of cults. Its great. Recently, a person who was studying with the Mormons said that CARM was responsible for exposing it as a non-Christian cult and that she decided not to to attend the Mormon church anymore. She is now going to a Christian Church. Praise God. This kind of praise report is frequent here at CARM and I thank God for it.

PRAY FOR CARM

Because this ministry is demanding and I am often under spiritual attack I ask that you continue to pray for this ministry. My family and I truly need it. As some of you may know, my wife and kids were involved in a major auto accident last year. The car was totaled but they all healed up fine after getting out of the hospital. Add to that a few death threats, hacking attempts on my computer, many late night anonymous phone calls, countless spam attacks via e-mail and on the discussion boards, and you have a rather interesting past year.

But, its great to make waves in the enemy's camp. May the Lord Jesus receive all the glory and may HIS name be magnified in all the earth!
