BEEN BUSY
CARM is keeping me busy, especially getting ready for the CARM convention in
June. This explains my delay in getting this next newsletter to
you.

ATHEIST DEBATE
On Wednesday 4/3/02, 8 pm EST, I will be debating an atheist on the intellectual
viability of atheism. The atheist calls himself the infidelguy. The
infidelguy has a radio show with about 20,000 listeners and it will be he and I
for an hour. Of course, I do not expect a fair debate on the validity of
atheism since it is his show and he controls the mic, etc. Nevertheless,
I've been debating atheists long enough to know their arguments and
approaches. In our preliminary emails I requested that he not insult me or
be condescending. I asked this because I've debated far too many atheists
for me not to suspect this kind of behavior. He has agreed to this.
Let's hope it stays civil.
Please pray that I would be gracious an loving,
and that the Lord would give me the answers I need at the right time. You
never know who will be listening and we can only pray that the Lord would use
the opportunity to bring others to Him.
Finally, if you are interested in calling in
during the broadcast, the number to the show is (404) 696-2864.

REGARDING YOUR SUPPORT
Many of you have financially supported CARM. I thank you very much and
thought you might like to know what your support has been used for so far.
First of all, the support has enabled CARM to upgrade its computer (an essential
for the Net), go to windows 2000 (a very stable OS), get a CD recorder (for CARM
on CD's), print up more notebooks (enabling me to give many away for free to
those who don't have much funds), allowed the purchase of a new laserprinter/scanner
(facilitating documentation and printing of brochures, tracts, and notebooks),
made the Salt Lake City trip possible (we passed out 65,000 peices of
literuature at the Olympics), and finally, allowed me to supplement my income in
support of my family (it is minimal, but a help).
Of course, the carm convention is looming in
June and I would not be able to go, let alone arrange it, if it had not been for
the support already received. So, I think you all for your help.

CARM CONVENTION
The CARM convention is moving ahead as planned for the weekend of
June 21st in Colleyville, Texas, just north of Fort Worth. For some early details go to
http://www.carm.org/more/carmconvention.htm.
We have several speakers lined up who are very good in their respective fields
of atheism, mormonism, post modernism, etc.
In fact, to our surprise, we are already
planning next year's convention. Norman Geisler has agreed to attend then
as has Bill McKeever of www.mrm.org, a ministry
to mormons. Bill has written three books on Mormonism and is one of
America's experts in the field.

FUTURE PLANS
I am still methodically trying to get CARM into a
full-time status and then get a staff, produce a magazine, do radio, and get
training seminars going all over the U.S., and make tapes and videos available.
That is a serious goal and it is realistic. If the Lord provides the
means, we can do it.

CARM IS GETTING MORE POPULAR
CARM is about to break the 1.7 million page view mark. It'll happen
any day now. Praise God.

PRINTER FOR CARM
I wanted to give a followup on the printer situation for CARM. As you
know, in the last newsletter I let the need be known that CARM needed a new
printer. Well, praise God. Donations came in totally $300.
That combined with an unexpected check my wife and I got is allowing us to
get a good printer at a very good price. This is because someone on
the newsletter list has a job of selling printers. He can get them at
a very good cost. Because of this, I can now purchase a very good
laser printer/scanner/copier/fax machine that will greatly aid in CARM's
development and distribution of information. So, for all of you who
contributed, thank you very very much.
Also, thank you for the tapes and books
that have come in. They will be very helpful, particularly the
information on Masonry.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Remember, CARM is a non-profit organization and all
contributions are tax deductible. Would you please consider supporting CARM
financially? I'm asking for people to donate FIVE dollars a month, just five
bucks a month. If enough people did that, I could move into CARM full-time.
Can you afford
five dollars a month? Is CARM worth it? If you think it is and if you've been
blessed by CARM's ministry and really want to see it continue to give free,
accurate information on the web, then please check out http://www.carm.org/goods/donations.htm.
Signing up takes only about two minutes. There is a way to contribute there by
automatically having five dollars deducted from your credit card monthly. It is
easy to set up and you can cancel it anytime. Please pray about it and,
hopefully, help out.

VERSE OF THE WEEK.
Micah 6:8
"He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of
you but to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God."
(NASB).
