A delusion is a deception, a false belief. It is an affirmation of something that does not comport with reality or logic. Delusions can be about a person other than one’s self, or about one’s self, or about the world in which we live. Those who are suffering from delusions might think of themselves as being from another planet or having superpowers or that they are being watched constantly.
