Substance Dualism

Substance Dualism

Substance Dualism is the philosophical position that states that there are two kinds of substance, material and mental, and as a result, there are two kinds of properties. Substance Dualism teaches that the human mind is a different substance than the physical brain so that when the brain ceases to exist the mind continues to exist. Compare with Property Dualism.
