I’ll choose God later

by | Oct 19, 2009 | Answers for Seekers, Christian Theology

If someone says they want to choose God later, and they recognize that they need God now. They’re just postponing the inevitable. But, what makes them think that will be able to choose God later? After all, if they reject God now, this means that they are seeking their own sin and fleshly desires. To seek sin over God is foolish. And, it has a tendency to harden the person’s heart against God. So, the longer a person waits, the more dangerous it is for his eternal soul. To wait is to invite damnation.  It is a gamble. What if you die tomorrow?  Then what?

Would you risk eternity for a foolish decision today? Will you risk eternal damnation that is waned about by Jesus so that you can do whatever it is you want to do right today?

Now is a day of salvation, not tomorrow. Now is the time to trust in Christ and begin your walk with him because you never know what tomorrow holds and the consequences of delay could be devastating, especially if you die without Christ. After all, eternity is a long time to be wrong.

God calls you to repent from sin now, not later. Which will you choose?
